Aimee Eckert, PhD

Dr Aimee Eckert is a regular contributor to School Health Pulse. She earned her PhD in cancer biology from the University of Sussex in 2019, and has worked in research communications ever since.

With a background in academia and the charity sector, she is passionate about translating complex scientific findings into accessible insights for non-specialist audiences.

Before transitioning to science writing, Dr Eckert’s research focused on identifying therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. She holds a Masters from Imperial College London and a First-Class Honours degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from University of Bath.
