Promoting physical activity among neurodiverse students—are we doing it right?
Course overview
-
Neurodivergent students constitute a growing proportion of children and young people today, yet they still face significant obstacles to participating in sports and physical activities both in and outside of school. Addressing these challenges begins with understanding them. This course will provide insights into the unique interests, strengths, and needs of neurodiverse students, techniques for adapting PE and other physical activities, and the considerable benefits of inclusive practices that extend beyond activity levels and participation rates.
-
The disparity in physical activity levels between neurodiverse students and their peers.
The barriers that neurodiverse students encounter in being active and participating in sport, both in school and beyond.
