Jack Birch, PhD

Dr Jack Birch is a Research Associate at Newcastle University and contributor to School Health Pulse. His expertise lies in obesity weight management interventions and health inequalities.

He has worked in public health across a range of settings and institutes, and led efforts in increasing the use of academic evidence in local government policy and decision-making.

Dr Birch holds a PhD and an MPhil from University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Management, Policy and Research from the University of Southampton.
